Hodan Hashi, 23, passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2022 at around 3am at the LIT nightclub. Paige Theriault-Fisher has faced manslaughter and has been in custody since Hashi’s death. A video of Hassi’s tragic murder at a nightclub in Saskatoon, Canada, then circulated online, rattling netizens.
In the viral video, two women can be seen fighting each other while bystanders watch the scene unravel without help. At one point the women were seen falling to the ground, with one hitting the other repeatedly in the face and neck and slamming her head to the floor.
Someone can be heard yelling into the microphone in the background – “We got into a fight on the dance floor.”
The two women continued to fight on the floor. A pool of blood eventually formed, which was later identified as Hodan Hashi’s blood. Law enforcement and paramedics tried to save Hodan Hash’s life, but Hash was pronounced dead at the scene, sources said.
As soon as the video of the young woman started circulating on social media, people took to Twitter to express their disgust. One Twitter user even said, “Death is not entertainment” – a sentiment shared by many others.
In an interview with CBC, a witness revealed that Hodan Hashi was apparently seriously injured when he fell to the floor covered in broken glass. Other witnesses revealed that security personnel responded to the fight only after the DJ announced the fight over a loudspeaker.
Others continued to pull the fire alarm, prompting people to rush out of the venue.
Paige Theriault-Fisher has been charged with manslaughter. She was initially charged with second-degree murder, but it was changed to manslaughter after her arrest. She is currently in custody pending a bail hearing.
